Chris Wiley

Chris Wiley is an NCPA contributing fellow.  He is an expert in U.S. national security issues, tactical military aviation, and the construction industry.  Prior to his work at NCPA, Chris served 10 years as an officer in the United States Air Force flying the A-10 Warthog and as a Joint Air Liaison Officer with the 4th Infantry Division.  While on active duty, then Capt Wiley earned numerous flight certifications in the Close Air Support (CAS), Forward Air Control (FAC), and Combat Search and Rescue (CSAR) mission areas.  Serving in various fighter wing and army division organizations, he supervised operational scheduling, training, life support, and readiness.  Completing two tours with the 355th Fighter Squadron at Eielson AFB, Alaska, Chris also specialized in Pacific theater contingency operations and training.  With the 355th, he deployed to Kuwait on the heels of 9/11 and to Bagram AB, Afghanistan, in 2006 flying CAS missions supporting coalition forces.  In the opening phases of Iraqi Freedom in 2003, Chris deployed with 1BCT, 4ID as the Raider Brigade’s Air Liaison Officer providing fixed-wing expertise to support combat operations.  Upon leaving active duty in 2007, Mr. Wiley made a career change rising to become a Project Manager with Andres Construction in Dallas, Texas.

Mr. Wiley holds a Master of Business Administration from the Jindal School of Management at UT Dallas.  He earned his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the United States Air Force Academy.  He is married to Robyn Wiley, an RN and fellow Air Force Veteran; they are raising an elementary school age son and daughter.
