Adapt or Die: Leadership Principles from an American General

Retired Lieutenant General Rick Lynch will share his thoughts on the Middle East, national security, military force structures, and adaptive leadership principles he learned during his decades of military service at a National Center for Policy Analysis luncheon on November 3rd in Dallas, Texas.

After graduating from West Point in 1977, Lynch was commissioned as a regular Army Engineer Officer. Over his time with the military, he served as the Assistant Division Commander, 4th Infantry Division, Chief of Staff, Kosovo Forces; Deputy Chief of Staff, Operations for Joint Force Command Naples, Italy; and held multiple positions commanding troops in Iraq from 2005-2008.

After retiring from the Army, Lynch became the Executive Director of the University of Texas at Arlington Research Institute before founding his own company, RLynch Enterprises.

General Lynch’s leadership during the ground surge in Iraq has given him a unique perspective and understanding of the Middle East. Lynch will also discuss his book Adapt or Die: Leadership Principles from an American General.
