John Goodman hosted a meeting of the AHPN featuring CEOs and other corporate decision-makers interested in health policy. We were pleased that Senators Bob Bennett (R-UT) and Ron Wyden (D-OR) joined us for the meeting. The meeting was a chance for the Senators to hear from Dr. Goodman and other AHPN participants about health care reform. The Senators also provided a valuable perspective about their goals for bipartisan reform, specifically about legislation they've sponsored, the Healthy Americans Act . Representative Jim Cooper (D-TN) also came to the AHPN meeting, but had to leave shortly after arriving because of unexpected votes called on the House floor. Rep. Cooper is a cosponsor of the House version of the Health Americans Act.
