E. Gaylon McCollough, M.D. and Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, is the founder and head of the McCollough Plastic Surgery Clinic in Gulf Shores, Alabama. Dr. McCollough is a past president of the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, the American Association of Cosmetic Surgeons, the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the International Council of Integrative Medicine.  He is also the founder of the McCollough Institute for Appearance and Health in Gulf Shores, Alabama. Dr. McCollough is board certified by the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the American Board of Otolaryngology. He has conducted and participated in educational seminars, teaching the art and science of facial plastic surgery to surgeons in many countries.

Dr. McCollough is the co-author of three major textbooks on facial and nasal plastic surgery and several non-medical books: Shoulders of Giants, Before and After; Let US Make Man, Armageddon 2015;,The Oath, Lords of Seduction and Justice in the Halls of Medicine. He is also the author of The Appearance Factor, one of the world’s most comprehensive consumer guides on ways that human beings can look, feel and perform better. He is also the author of  Orwell’s America (2015).  McCollough received a Bachelor of Science degree, with Honors, from the University of Alabamaand was selected to the Academic All-American Football Team. He was the center on the University’s 1964 National Championship Football Team. He received a Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham Medical School.

In 2015, the United States Sports Academy honored Dr. McCollough with its prestigious Theodore Roosevelt Meritorious Achievement Award.
