Did you know the agriculture department regulates the size of holes in Swiss cheese? And it's proposed allowing producers to make smaller holes? It's 15-page proposal calls for allowing the majority of the holes in Swiss to be in the range of 3/8 to 13/16 of an inch in diameter – as opposed to current requirements, 11/16 to 13/16 of an inch. The proposed change also regulates Swiss cheese's color.
I don't know about you, but i can now rest easy, knowing my government's looking out for my interests, keeping vigilant watch on Swiss cheese makers to be sure the holes are the right size. Social Security is headed for a demographic disaster, Medicare's in trouble, National Defense is rapidly becoming a basket case and school choice languishes in the Congress – but on the Swiss cheese front, your government never sleeps.
