Focus Point – The Case Against Hillary

I'm Pete du Pont with the National Center for Policy Analysis. If you want to read a knife-through-the-heart political analysis, one that should be read, if not by every American then at least by every New Yorker, get Peggy Noonan's "The Case Against Hillary Clinton."

Noonan's not interested in balance. She calls her book a polemic. She wants an end to Clintonism and she doesn't want her state of New York represented in the Senate by any one like Hillary.

She describes how the Clintons have helped define honesty down, from Hillary's options trading to Bill's lying under oath — demeaning American politics far more than any failed policy has. Speaking of failed policy, if you want the definitive explanation of how Mrs. Clinton botched the health care effort, and a preview of what she'd be like in office, that section of the book is the most enlightening.

Again, it's "The Case Against Hillary Clinton," by Peggy Noonan.

Those are my ideas, and at the NCPA we know ideas can change the world. I'm Pete du Pont. Next time, more trouble with the truth.
