Foreign and National Security Policy Expert Liz Cheney

DALLAS, TX (Dec. 1, 2010) – Former Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for the Middle East Liz Cheney will discuss national security, foreign policy issues and what to expect from the 2012 elections at a Thursday luncheon sponsored by the National Center for Policy Analysis (NCPA). 

Cheney, Chairman of the Board for the Institute for the Study of War, has been involved in national local campaigns for nearly 35 years, since she first stuffed envelopes in 1976 for President Gerald Ford. During the 2000 and 2004 presidential campaigns, Ms. Cheney managed vice presidential debate preparation for the Bush-Cheney campaign and traveled cross-country campaigning for the ticket. 

During the Bush Administration, she served as Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for the Middle East, where she established and managed programs to empower women and bring economic, political and educational reform to the Arab World.
