Financial Times’ Martin Wolf to Speak at National Center for Policy Analysis Luncheon on Thursday
DALLAS, TX (January 19, 2008) — Martin Wolf, of the Financial Times of London will be the keynote speaker at the National Center for Policy Analysis Luncheon on Thursday, January 22.
In this time of economic turmoil, plunging stock prices, and financial meltdown, Wolf, in his own words, reveals how the current financial crisis developed and what we can do to help ensure global financial stability in the future, which is the topic of his new book, Fixing Global Finance: How to Curb Financial Crises in the 21st Century.
Wolf has been a Forum Fellow at the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, since 1999 and a member of its International Media Council since 2006. He has won many prestigious awards for his journalism, including the CBE (Commander of the British Empire), the Accenture Decade of Excellence Award, the Wincott Foundation senior prize for excellence in financial journalism, and several others.
He was, for ten years, a senior economist at the World Bank and currently holds prestigious positions at a number of important institutions. Along with his latest book, Wolf is also the author of many other books and numerous articles, including, most recently, Why Globalization Works.
