LTC Allen B. West, former United States Congressman and now CEO of the National Center for Policy Analysis (NCPA), a nonpartisan public policy think tank, will be the keynote speaker at the 2016 Lincoln-Reagan Dinner sponsored by the Republican Party of Lee County. The annual event will be held Saturday, May 14, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Coconut Point Hyatt, 5001 Coconut Point Rd., Bonita Springs.

West, a retired U.S. Army Lieutenant Colonel and former member of the House of Representatives (R-FL), took the helm of the NCPA in January 2015 because he believes it will be policy—not politics—that will secure America’s economic future, returning growth, opportunity and the promise of the American dream for generations. He served in Operation Desert Storm and Operation Iraqi Freedom, as well as in Afghanistan. Over his 22 years of service in the U.S. Army, he received numerous commendations and honors for valor, including a Bronze Star, three Meritorious Service Medals, three Army Commendation Medals and a Valorous Unit Award.

West is a Senior Fellow at the London Center for Policy Research, a Fox News contributor, and author of Guardian of the Republic: An American Ronin’s Journey to Family, Faith and Freedom. He is a legacy life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, life member of the Association of the United States Army, and life member of the National Rifle Association.
