NCPA Expert To Testify on Downsizing Government Health Care

Washington, D.C. – Dr. Merrill Matthews, Vice President – Domestic Policy for the National Center for Policy Analysis will testify on ways to downsize the government at a House Appropriations subcommittee hearing Thursday, February 5, 1998. Dr. Matthews' testimony will focus on government health care and welfare programs.

Dr. Matthews is an advisor to the American Legislative Exchange Council's Health Care Task Force. He is frequently invited to speak to groups of business executives, legislators, legislative aides, physicians and grass roots organizations. He will testify before the House Subcommittee on Labor, Health and Human Services, Education and Related Agencies – a subcommittee of the House Appropriations Committee.
