NCPA to Unveil Launch of Non-Partisan Educational Advertising Drive on Social Security

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The National Center for Policy Analysis (NCPA SM) will unveil a national educational advertising initiative at a news conference Wednesday, Sept. 27, at the National Press Club. With the initiative – a first for an American think tank – the NCPA seeks to help shape the public debate on Social Security during this crucial period of public attention to politics and public policy.

The media-based initiative is the latest in the NCPA's continuing effort to educate opinion leaders and the general public about Social Security issues. The initial step of the initiative, ads focusing on the think tank's Social Security calculator – http://www.mysocialsecurity.org — leads Americans to a tool created to educate average citizens about how they would personally benefit if given choice and control over their retirement security. NCPA will announce the release of a series of cutting-edge research publications on Social Security set to follow the media launch.
