The National Center for Policy Analysis is pleased to welcome E. Gaylon McCollough, M.D. and Lawrence Neil Pivnick M.D, J.D. as its newest Contributing Fellows.

“I am pleased and honored to have Doctors McCullough and Pivnick join the NCPA as Contributing Fellows. As we go forward to present free enterprise and private sector policy solutions for Americans, it is imperative to have thoughts, perspectives, and insights from practitioners,” said NCPA President/CEO Allen West. “Our goal here at NCPA is to be ‘America’s Think Tank;’ we achieve that goal by partnering with exceptional Americans in our focused areas of policy expertise.”

Dr. McCollough is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the founder and head of the McCollough Plastic Surgery Clinic in Gulf Shores, Alabama. He previously served as the president of the American Board of Facial Plastic Reconstructive Surgery, the American Association of Cosmetic Surgeons, and the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and the International Council of Integrative Medicine. He has co-authored several major textbooks on facial and nasal plastic surgery and several non-medical books.

“I am honored to be invited to become a Contributing Fellow to the NCPA and one of Allen West’s Guardians of the Republic. Clearly America is at a crossroads,” said McCollough. “It will take a concerted effort on the part of everyone who loves this country to return it to its rightful place in the world.”

Dr. Pivnick practiced family medicine in Toronto, Canada for five years, and Dallas, Texas for thirty-six. Additionally, Pivnick spent 20 years practicing law, where he focused on malpractice defense, asset protection and estate planning for physicians.  He is the author of the novels The Kilgore Curse (2014) and Supreme Corruption (2015).  He received a Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Toronto and a Doctor of Laws degree from the Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law, as and is a graduate of SMU’s Creative Writing Program. He and his family have resided in Dallas for 38 years.

“I’ve been a longtime fan of Allen West, and a new fan of his work at the NCPA,” said Pivnick. “This country has taken a concerning direction over the past several years, and those outside of the Beltway are often left in the dark. I hope to bring transparency and clarity to the health policy field, and make a complicated field accessible to those it impacts on a daily basis.”

“The issue of quality healthcare for Americans is hardly over,” added West. “Drs. McCullough and Pivnick will lend us their years of experience enabling us to articulate a better future for our healthcare market.”

Last week, the NCPA also announced the addition of Cherylyn Harley LeBon as a Contributing Fellow.
