WASHINGTON, D.C. – Columns by Bruce Bartlett, former Treasury official and Senior Fellow of the National Center for Policy Analysis, will be available nationally through the Creators Syndicate beginning May 1, 1997.
Bartlett's columns have appeared weekly in the Washington Times and The Detroit News. He is a frequent guest on a number of national interview and news roundtable television programs.
Bartlett gained national attention last year for formulating the 15 percent across-the-board tax cut plan that became a centerpiece of the Dole-Kemp Republican presidential campaign.

Bartlett was Deputy Assistant Secretary for Economy Policy at the Treasury Department from 1988 to 1993, and Senior Policy Analyst in the White House Office of Policy Development from 1987 to 1988. He previously served with the Joint Economic Committee of Congress as deputy director from 1981 to 1982, and as its executive director from 1983 to 1984.
