Philip K. Porter, Ph.D.

Philip K. Porter is a professor of economics at the University of South Florida and Director of the school’s Center for Economic Policy Analysis. He has authored numerous articles in academic journals, including Public Choice , and has held prestigious positions with Advances in the Economics of Sports , the Journal of Sports Management and the Heartland Institute. Porter received bachelor’s and master’s degrees in economics from Auburn University and he earned a Ph.D. from Texas A&M University in 1978.
