Putting Health Care on a Sustainable Path

NCPA President and CEO John C. Goodman testified on March 9, 2011, before the House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Health, providing solutions that would put health care on a more sustainable spending path. There are major structural flaws in the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA). Each is so potentially damaging, Congress will have to resort to major corrective action even if critics of the new health care law are not part of it.  Further, each must be addressed in any new attempt to create workable health care reform.
