People will be converging on Capitol Hill today calling for Washington to restore fiscal sanity.

The Rally to Restore (Fiscal) Sanity is in regard to bipartisan legislation known as the INFORM ActThe Act was introduced by Senators Tim Kaine [D-VA] and John Thune [R-SD] and requires the federal government to account for the true obligations of all entitlement programs as part of the national debt. It also aims to address the intergenerational consequences.

National Center for Policy Analysis Senior Fellow Larry Kotlikoff is one of the speakers at today’s rally. In 2011, Dr. Kotlikoff estimated the fiscal gap to be well over $200 trillion. Today, it stands at $205 trillion.
