Mr. Wright is the Chairman and CEO of Medical Cities, Inc., the Crow-Wright Company, and Managing Partner of Medical City Dallas, Ltd. He is President of TWG, Inc. that has entities in healthcare, aviation, real estate, oil and gas and internet technologies. Mr. Wright is Chairman of the Board at Austin College and a trustee and member of the Executive Committee of his alma mater, Texas Christian University.
Mr. Wright is a past president of Medical Group Management Association; the American College of Medical Group Administrators, of which he is a Distinguished Fellow; and the Center for Research in Ambulatory Health Care Administration. He is a recipient of the Distinguished Harry J. Harwick Award, an international award for outstanding contributions to the field of health care delivery, administration and education. He also has received The Toddie Lee Wynne Sr. Award for Distinguished Service from Austin College. From TCU he has received the following awards: 1996 Valuable Alumnus Award and Horizon Award from TCU's College of Fine Arts and Communication, TCU Band Hall of Fame Award, and the 1998 Honorary Conductors Award. In 1998, Mr. Wright received the "Distinguished Health Service Award" from the Dallas-Fort Worth Hospital Council, and in 2000 he was named the "Outstanding Philanthropist of the Year" in Dallas.
In the past, Mr. Wright was honored to be the only lay speaker at the Third International Congress on Group Medicine in Paris, France, and was co-chairman of the Sixth International Congress on Group Medicine. He has chaired, attended and addressed many medical administration seminars in Europe and Australia. He has also been a speaker at the United Nations to representatives of the Middle East countries regarding their health care systems.
He is an elder at Preston Hollow Presbyterian Church and Chairman of the Preston Hollow Presbyterian Church Foundation. Mr. Wright and his wife, Mary, have two children and five grandchildren.
