About Dr. Ron Paul

Former Congressman and Presidential Candidate Ron Paul enjoys a national reputation as the premier advocate for liberty in politics today. Dr. Paul is the leading spokesman for limited constitutional government, low taxes, free markets, and a return to sound monetary policies based on commodity-backed currency. While in Congress, he was known among both his colleagues in Congress and his constituents for his consistent voting record; never voting for legislation unless the proposed measure was expressly authorized by the Constitution.

While serving in Congress during the late 1970s and early 1980s, he served on the House Banking Committee, where he was a strong advocate for sound monetary policy and an outspoken critic of the Federal Reserve. He also was a key member of the Gold Commission, advocating a return to a gold standard.

Since his retirement from Congress, Dr. Paul has continued to work for limited constitutional government through organizations he founded, including the Foundation for Rational Economics and Education (FREE), Campaign for Liberty, and Liberty PAC. In addition to hosting the nationally syndicated podcast Ron Paul’s America, Dr. Paul has launched The Ron Paul Channel, an online network airing original programming on today’s most pertinent issues.

Dr. Paul, the author of several best-selling books, most recently released The School Revolution, offering a provocative look at how we need to change the way we think about America’s broken education system in order to fix it.
