NCPA Sponsored Episode of DebatesDebates to Air Nationally Starting This Week!
DALLAS (Feb. 8, 2000) – The National Center for Policy Analysis announced today that a new episode of the nationally syndicated program DebatesDebates, a series of programs, which are sponsored by the NCPA, will be made available to stations starting Wednesday, Feb. 9.
The episode: "Should Everyone Have a Medical Savings Account?" features an all-star cast debating an issue central to the health care debate. Leading the affirmative team is John C. Goodman, Ph.D., president of the NCPA. Goodman is joined by Robert Goldberg, Ph.D., a senior research fellow with the Ethics & Public Policy Center and the NCPA; and Mayor Bret Schundler, of Jersey City, N.J.
The opposition team is led by Robert Kuttner, co-editor of the liberal magazine, American Prospect. Kuttner is joined by Iris Lav with the Washington-based Center on Budget & Policy Priorities; and David Himmelstein of Cambridge Hospital.
