NCPA Sponsored Episode of DebatesDebates to Air Nationally Starting Today!
Dallas (August 4, 1999) – Beginning this Sunday, Dallas Community Television (DCTV) will broadcast "Should Social Security Be Privatized?" an episode of DebatesDebates, the hour-long public affairs program sponsored by the National Center for Policy Analysis.
The episode: "Should Social Security Be Privatized?" features an all-star cast debating an issue currently being debated in the nation's capitol. The affirmative side is led by Dr. John C. Goodman, President and CEO of the National Center for Policy Analysis and an expert on Medicare. Goodman is joined by Amity Shlaes, editorial writer for the Wall Street Journal and Dr. Tom Saving, Director or the Private Enterprise Research Center at Texas A&M University.
The opposition team is led by Robert Kuttner, Co-Editor of American Prospect. He is teamed with Richard Leone, President of The Century Foundation and Dr. Heidi Hartmann, Director of the Institute for Women's Policy Research..
