NCPA SPONSORED EPISODE OF DEBATESDEBATES TO AIR LOCALLY
DALLAS (Jan. 20, 2000) – The National Center for Policy Analysis announced today that an episode of the nationally syndicated program DebatesDebates, a series programs which are sponsored by the NCPA, will air locally on DCTV this coming week.
The episode: "Should the Government Impose Price Controls on Prescription Drugs?" features an all-star cast debating an issue currently being discussed in Washington. Leading the affirmative team is Robert Kuttner, co-editor of the American Prospect. Mr. Kuttner is joined by Frank Clemente from Public Citizen and Dr. Peter Arno, a professor at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
The opposition team is led by NCPA President John C. Goodman, Ph.D. Dr. Goodman is joined by Robert Goldberg, Ph.D., Senior Research Fellow with the Ethics and Public Policy Center; and Mick Kolassa, a professor at the University of Mississippi.
The show will broadcast on Sunday, Jan. 23, 2000 at 10:00a.m. on Channel 13B; Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2000 at 9:00p.m. on Channel 27A; and again on Thursday, Jan. 27, 2000 at 6:00p.m. on Channel 13B. DCTV is on TCI Cablevision of Dallas.
