Uninsured Children Health Care Briefing

WASHINGTON, DC – President Clinton has proposed a plan to cover roughly half of the 10 million uninsured children from low-income families. Even more radical plans are emerging from Capitol Hill from both sides of the aisle which would insure all uninsured children and possibly all the uninsured.

The National Center for Policy Analysis and Citizens for a Sound Economy are sponsoring a briefing on Uninsured Children, drawing analysts from the country's top think tanks and professional experts who will analyze alternative plans for insuring uninsured children.

Participants include NCPA President Dr. John Goodman, GAO Senior Evaluator Sheila Avruch, Blue Cross of Western Pennsylvania Caring Foundation VP Charles Lavalle, Council for Affordable Health Insurance Executive Director David Lack, Heritage Foundation VP Stuart Butler, NCPA VP Dr. Merrill Matthews, Eagle Forum President Phyllis Schlafly, CSE VP Lydia Verheggen and CSE President Paul Beckner.
