Young Patriot Essay Contest 2017

We have winners for the 2017 Young Patriots Essay Contest! Three teens took home $9,000 in scholarships from Debate Central’s Young Patriots Essay Contest, sponsored by NCPA and Copart, with essays on whether international free trade agreements are in the best interest of the United States. Over 700 students entered and from those the 2017 Winners are:

First place

Juliana Good – a senior at Red Mountain High School, took first place and was awarded a $5,000 scholarship. 

Second place

Kelsey Ge – a sophomore at Ward Melville High School, took second place and was awarded a $2,500 scholarship. 

Third Place 

Kim Phan – a senior at Boston Latin School, took third place and was awarded a $1,500 scholarship.
